Cali Best
Cali was born in Fairbanks and attended K-12 at Tri-Valley School in Healy. She left the state to attend university at Willamette University in Salem, Oregon where she met her husband Matt. Together they have spent the last 10+ years living and working overseas coordinating large scale catering operations. Cali now oversees Tonglen Lake Lodge and serves as Alaskan Bounty for Children’s President.
Jake McGlew
Jake grew up on the East coast, working in catering starting in high school. He trained in kitchens across Philadelphia, and eventually oversaw the opening of several large scale food opperations before moving to Alaska. He has since become the Executive Chef of Tonglen Lake Lodge where he focuses on the importance of local food production. Jake currently serves as the treasurer for Alaskan Bounty for Children.
Donna Gates
Donna Gates has been living in the community since 1981, and raised three girls who all went to Tri-Valley. She has always supported diversity in education as well as health minded programs, and founded Kids in Motion to support the school in these objectives. Donna has years of experience in hospitality as well, having founded and operated Tonglen Lake Lodge since 2012. Donna currently serves as both the Vice President and Secretary for Alaskan Bounty for Children.
Matthew Best
Matthew Best has been Chief Operations Officer of Pacific Rim Constructors since 2013. After joining the organization in 2009, he has spent more than a decade overseas in a variety of capacities for PRC. From implementing initial-phase development strategies, to building strong teams in diverse environments, his experience in building and operating complex businesses is broad. In 2013, he transitioned into his current role which included heading up the Eurasian business, where again he worked on the ground in the area. Matthew currently serves as an Advisor to the Alaskan Bounty for Children Board.
